How does this work .....

It is as simple as placing either text links or banner links on your site.

In the situation where that retailer is operating an Affiliate Marketing program, every time one of your visitors clicks on one of those advertsing links, special tracking software tracks them as they go to the retailers website, and when they make a purchase, that tracking software identifies that your website was responsible for introucing that customer, and you are paid a percentage commission on each and every sale.

The percentage amount you are paid depends mainly on the type of product and can range from as little as 2% - 3% of the sale price on high value products like computers and electrical items, and increasing up to between 7% - 10% of the sale price on smaller value items like music, books, giftware and movies.
